Review: SPRING BREAKERS

“Spring break…..Spring break forevaaaa.”  Words uttered by James Franco’s outrageous and eccentric Alien that resonate throughout the duration of Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers.   Spoken soft and slow, this dialogue suggests that spring break isn’t just a week of raucous and irresponsible decision making – it’s a state of being.

Five New Character Posters for Spring Breakers Starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, & Rachel Korine

Five new character posters for director Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers have been released today.  I’ve covered the film heavily on my site, so it’s obvious that I’m eagerly awaiting the film’s wide release this Friday.  Each poster focuses on one of the five main characters in the film.  Spring Breakers focuses on four co-eds who go to disturbing lengths to go on spring break and keep their party going.  When they encounter eccentric rapper and drug dealer, Alien (Franco), their lives are forever changed.  Hit the jump to take a look.

A brand new clip from director Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers has been released online today.  Fresh off of a screening at SXSW last night, audiences and critics are raving about the upcoming film.  Ever since its premier at TIFF in September 2012, Spring Breakers has been met with much praise.  Star James Franco has also garnered a great deal of praise due to his performance – a performance that I, for one, am absolutely chomping at the bit to see.  The clip shows us a scene where the girls meet Alien (Franco) for the first time after he bails them out of jail.  Hit the jump to take a look.

New Featurette for SPRING BREAKERS Starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, & Rachel Korine

A brand new featurette for director Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers has been released online today.  Titled “Bad Girls,” the clip gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the four female leads in the film.  The stars delve into what attracted them to the project and what they think it will be like.  The film focuses on four co-eds who will go to extremely disturbing lengths to keep their spring break party going, wherein they encounter the eccentric Alien (James Franco).  The more footage I see from James Franco in Spring Breakers, the more eager I am to see the film in its entirety.  This raucous picture made its debut at TIFF back in September, where it was very well received.  Hit the jump to check out the featurette.

With the wide release of Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers about three weeks away, a lot of promotion material has been surfacing. A brand new red band trailer for the film has been released online along with a behind-the-scenes featurette and two new TV spots.  All of the material offers up a great deal of new footage, and the featurette lends a great look at the behind-the-scenes work put into the film.  Spring Breakers centers upon four college girls who hold up a restaurant to get the money for spring break, where they meet the eccentric and dangerous drug dealer, Alien (James Franco).  GANGSTA!  Let’s cause some trouble now and hit the jump to take a look.

A brand new poster for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers has hit the web today.  The poster is certainly unlike anything else we have seen for promotion on the film as it contains significantly less female flesh than its predecessors.  The film centers upon four girls who will go to indescribable lengths to go on spring break and to keep their spring break party going.  Money, guns, brass knuckles, drugs, sunglasses, ski masks, and, of course, an iPhone.  Sounds like all of the necessities that co-eds need for a fun spring break, right?  Hit the jump to take a look at the new poster!

Before you kick your feet up and check out the Academy Awards tonight, take some time to check out this brand new and outrageously fun red band trailer for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers.  The film centers upon four college girls who rob a restaurant to acquire enough money to go on spring break.  It’s on spring break that they meet the eccentric drug dealer, Alien (James Franco).  The film has been met with many positive reviews since it’s premier at TIFF back in September 2012, and we’re only about 3 weeks away from the film’s general release.  Bikinis and big booties, y’all.  That’s what life is about!  Check out the trailer in all of its uncensored glory after the jump.
