First Trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

DOFP Hoult Jackman McAvoy - CopyThe first trailer for director Bryan Singer‘s return to the X-Men franchise and sequel to the critically acclaimed X-Men: First Class
has been released online.  X-Men: Days of Future Past features the biggest ensemble of X-Men characters that has ever been seen on film, brought together to fight a war for the species across two time periods.  The film’s story involves Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine traveling back in time to aid Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) in stopping the Sentinels, robots programmed to exterminate mutants.  Just as promised, the trailer is epic as it showcases the film’s sprawling cast of characters and hits home with Hans Zimmer’s (no surprise here) incredibly ominous score.  Hit the jump to check it out. First Trailer for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Starring Chris Evans

Winter Soldier Stan 2The first trailer for directors Joe and Anthony Russo‘s upcoming addition to the Marvel cinematic universe has been released online.  Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the third installment for Marvel’s Phase Two initiative wherein Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) of Marvel’s Avengers face off against Cap’s former best friend, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).  Barnes, after surviving a near-death experience, is now known as the assassin, “The Winter Soldier.”  In my opinion, if done right, Joe and Anthony Russo can make The Winter Soldier the best solo film in the MCU.  The trailer showcases the moral conflict at the center of the film and some awesome visuals.  It also gives us our first look at Anthony Mackie in action as The Falcon and Robert Redford as World Security Council member Alexander Pierce.  Hit the jump to check out the all new trailer. Universal Titles Jurassic Park 4 JURASSIC WORLD – Set Release on June 12th, 2015 – Plus Watch the Pitch Trailer

Jurassic World Banner - CopyEarlier this week, and to the liking of many fans, Universal announced the release date and official title for the forthcoming Jurassic Park sequel.  Formerly titled Jurassic Park 4, Universal revealed that Jurassic World will be roaring its way into theaters on June 12th, 2015.  The June 12th release date was appropriately and smartly announced just after the news that Disney would be pushing back Pirates of the Caribbean 5‘s release date from June 10th – so the weekend will likely belong to the dinosaurs.  Along with the announcement of the title change and release date, a pitch trailer allegedly presented to Stephen Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy by director Colin Trevorrow has found its way online.  Hit the jump to read more and check out the film’s exciting pitch trailer.   Read the rest of this entry

First Trailer for José Padilha’s ROBOCOP Remake

RoboCop KinnamanThe first full-length trailer for director José Padilha’s upcoming RoboCop remake has been released online.  I’m too young to have a real connection with the original three RoboCop films, but it was something that I always enjoyed watching as a kid.  That being said, I think that’s the reason why I was impressed with the new trailer for the 2014 remake – as many fans are griping on the internet about the newest iteration of the franchise.  One thing that can be said is that the film is sure to offer fans plenty of nods and callbacks to the 1987 original while offering a new take and spin on the character.  Joel Kinnaman stars as Alex Murphy, a charismatic police officer in Detroit in the year 2028 who is offered the opportunity to become part man, part police officer after being critically injured in the line of duty.  Hit the jump to check out the trailer. New Trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE Starring Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson

Catching Fire Teaser Poster - CopyThe second theatrical trailer for director Francis Lawrence‘s upcoming sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, has officially landed online.  While I am a firm believer that the first film wouldn’t have been anything more than average without star Jennifer Lawrence, the second trailer is extremely impressive, and so is the film’s top rate casting.  Much like the film’s teaser trailer, the second trailer highlights the hope that Katniss has spread throughout the districts of Panem.  The second installment pits Katniss against past winners of the famed Hunger Games in a competition that could change Panem forever.  I am very much looking forward to the sequel as the first film satisfied, but certainly left room for improvement – and who doesn’t love them some Jennifer Lawrence?  Hit the jump to take a look. New Trailer for ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES Starring Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, & Steve Carell – Plus New Poster

Anchorman 2 CastThe long and tireless wait is finally over.  A brand new full-length trailer for Paramount and director Adam McKay‘s much anticipated Anchorman follow-up has been released online.  Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues sees the return of the much beloved – and certainly unconventional – news team who leave San Diego and the 70’s behind them to take on New York City and a new 24-hours news network.  While Ron and Veronica are married, Ron seems to be getting comfortable with another woman.  The trailer features some silly laughs, and it looks like much has changed with the characters since the last go around.  We get our first look at Kristen-Wiig, the return of Baxter, and some serious racial tension.  Unfortunately, we’re still waiting for our first official looks at rappers Kanye West and Drake, both of whom make cameos in the film.  Along with the new trailer is a brand new poster that’s kind of a big deal.  You stay classy and hit the jump to check it out.  Read the rest of this entry

New Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s ONLY GOD FORGIVES Starring Ryan Gosling

Only God Forgives Ryan Gosling 2A brand new trailer for director Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Only God Forgives has been released online.  The film was met with some mixed reviews at the Cannes Film Festival a month ago, but hopefully some changes have been made to help the film play a little better.  Gosling stars as Julian, a man living in exile in Bangkok after killing a cop.  Julian runs a Thai boxing club as a front for a drug smuggling operation when things take a turn for the worse after his brother is murdered, and his mother instructs him to “raise hell“.  The film looks much more stylized than Gosling and Refn’s Drive, but it looks every bit as bad ass.  The trailer highlights much of the revenge storyline and Cliff Martinez’s score.  Hit the jump to take a look! First Trailer for Martin Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET Starring Leonardo DiCaprio

The Wolf of Wall Street Leonardo DiCaprio - CopySo greed is good again, huh?  The first trailer for Paramount Pictures Martin Scorsese directed The Wolf of Wall Street has been released online.  The film, based on the memoir of Jordan Belfort (who was convicted of crimes related to stock market manipulation), stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the young stockbroker indicted in 1998 to spend 22 months in jail after charges of money laundering and security fraud.  The trailer, appropriately played under Kanye West’s Black Skinhead off his Yeezus album, unexpectedly highlights much of the film’s lightheartedness and all-star cast- and some surprising dance moves provided by Leo.  The Wolf of Wall Street will be hitting theaters just in time to kick off the awards season, so hit the jump to check out the trailer! First Trailer for Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG – Plus 8 New Images & Official Synopsis

The Desolation of Smaug Martin Freeman - CopyHere you have it, the first trailer for part two of director Peter Jackson‘s second Middle Earth trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, has been released online.  The second film in the trilogy continues the perilous journey of Bilbo, Gandolf, and the Dwarves as they try and reclaim their gold from the terrible dragon, Smaug.  The trailer is visually impressive – I had a chance to see it in front of a Man of Steel screening tonight, wow – and gives us our first look at the return of Orlando Bloom and newcomers Evangeline Lilly and Luke Evans in action.  “But we haven’t even seen the dragon yet,” you say – until now.  While it’s only for a few seconds, the trailer gives us our first glimpse at the terrible Smaug, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch – unfortunately we don’t get any dialogue.  Along with the new trailer are eight brand new high-res images taken from the trailer, and the film’s synopsis.  Hit the jump to take a look! Final Exclusive Trailer for MAN OF STEEL

Man of Steel Henry Cavill 8Much like the studio did with The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. and Nokia have teamed up to give fans the fifth and presumably final look at the much anticipated Superman film, Man of Steel.  I know my site has been extremely heavy with MOS content over the last few days, but I just can’t contain my excitement.  And let’s be honest, this is far and away the most anticipated film of the summer season.  Early reactions from screenings have been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m fortunate enough to have the opportunity to catch the film tonight.  We’re a week away from the film’s release, and this new trailer highlights Hans Zimmer’s rousing score and showcases a bevy of new footage.  Hit the jump to take a look!
