New Trailer for STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS
A little less than two weeks ago, the first teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness was released. Also, less than a week ago, the 9 minute IMAX preview for the film released in front of IMAX showings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. A few days ago, a brand new full-length teaser trailer for Star Trek hit the web (you can thank finals week at school for me not being able to post it earlier). The trailer features a voice-over from Bruce Greenwood’s Pike, telling Kirk “there’s greatness in you, but not an ounce of humility.” The rest of the trailer showcases stunning visuals and action that J.J. Abrams has promised to deliver. Hit the jump to check out the trailer.
Star Trek Into Darkness is directed by J.J. Abrams, written by Damon Lindelof, Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman, stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Alice Eve, and Benedict Cumberbatch and opens in IMAX 3D on May 17th, 2013.
In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.
With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
