New Trailer for OBLIVION Starring Tom Cruise – Plus New Posters & Images

Oblivion Tom Cruise Olga KurylenkoA new trailer for Universal’s Tom Cruise led sci-fi film Oblivion has been released on the web today.  Tom Cruise stars as Jack Harper, a drone repairman stationed on Earth after war has left the planet nearly inhabitable.  After discovering a downed spacecraft, Harper questions everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.  This second trailer showcases a ton of new footage and dialogue with stunning visuals and the sprawling landscapes of future Earth.  We also get a better sense of the film’s plot during this trailer.  Along with the trailer are several images and two new posters.  Hit the jump to take a look. New Red Band Trailer for SPRING BREAKERS Starring James Franco – Plus New Featurette & TV Spots

A brand new red band trailer for the film has been released online along with a behind-the-scenes featurette and two new TV spots.  All of the material offers up a great deal of new footage, and the featurette lends a great look at the behind-the-scenes work put into the film.  Spring Breakers centers upon four college girls who hold up a restaurant to get the money for spring break, where they meet the eccentric and dangerous drug dealer, Alien (James Franco).  GANGSTA!  Let’s cause some trouble now and hit the jump to take a look. First Clip From THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE Starring Steve Carell & Jim Carrey

Burt Wonderstone BannerThe first clip from Warner Bros.’ upcoming Don Scardino directed comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone has been released online.  Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi star as partnering magicians on the Vegas strip whose relationship is diminishing due to the emergence of a guerilla street magician (Jim Carrey).  The first clip features Burt Wonderstone (Carell) and Steve Gray (Carrey) facing off in a bar in a flurry of quips in exactly the style of fun we’re hoping to see out of the two comedic titans.  Hit the jump to take a look! Reactions From Early MAN OF STEEL Screenings are Overwhelmingly Positive

Man of Steel Banner 2As we sit and try to wait patiently for the next four months in anticipation of the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, we have some exciting news that may make us a little more impatient.  The film is currently in the process of being screened for some lucky individuals at the Warner Bros. lot, and early reactions suggest that this is the film that The Last Son of Krypton deserves.  There have been many concerns following the trailers that the film will be too dark and grim with too much influence from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy.  The good folks over at JoBlo say that one extremely reliable source tells us to have no fear.  Hit the jump to read more! Spring Breakers James Franco Ashley Benson Vanessa Hudgens 2A brand new poster for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers has hit the web today.  The poster is certainly unlike anything else we have seen for promotion on the film as it contains significantly less female flesh than its predecessors.  The film centers upon four girls who will go to indescribable lengths to go on spring break and to keep their spring break party going.  Money, guns, brass knuckles, drugs, sunglasses, ski masks, and, of course, an iPhone.  Sounds like all of the necessities that co-eds need for a fun spring break, right?  Hit the jump to take a look at the new poster! First Look at Spidey’s New Suit from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 – Plus New Set Photos

The Amazing Spider-Man Banner 2While production has begun on Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we have been seeing a number of images tweeted out by the director himself to update fans on the film.  This morning fans were treated with the first look at Spidey’s new suit that we’ll see in action next year.  The suit is more traditional than its predecessor and looks more in line with Raimi’s Spider-Man with a hint of Ultimate Spider-Man – which makes it true to the suit we have seen throughout the comics.  Along with the newest production still are some set photos.  Hit the jump to take a look. 85th Academy Awards – ARGO Wins Best Picture – LIFE OF PI Wins 4 Oscars

Olly Moss Oscar BannerAfter sitting back and taking a look at all of the categories and nominations, the wealth of outstanding work recognized at last night’s 85th Academy Awards is simply breathtaking.  This last year in film saw no clear awards front runner because of its unbelievable quantity of fantastic films – eight other Best Picture nominees who could have won in almost any other year, five Best Actor nominees who could deserve a time share on the award, a Best Actress category that consisted both the oldest and youngest nominees ever, the list goes on.  Ben Affleck’s Argo took home the biggest award of the night, while Ang Lee reeled in Best Director for his unforgettable work on Life of Pi – Life of Pi also won for Best Cinematography, Best Score, and Best Visual Effects.  Other highlights include Daniel Day-Lewis’ win for Best Actor, Jennifer Lawrence earning the Oscar for her work in Silver Linings Playbook,  and a goose-bump inducing performance by the cast of Les Misérables.  Hit the jump to see all of this year’s winners. Jason Clarke to Star in DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

Jason ClarkeWhile Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ star James Franco is not expected to return for the sequel, it looks like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is moving right along.  Jason Clarke, who recently starred in the critically acclaimed Zero Dark Thirty, is set to star in the upcoming sequel – which is set to begin production some time this spring.  Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has seen a number of bumps in the road on its way to production (i.e. Rupert Wyatt leaving as director), but director Matt Reeves has a great base to start from after the surprising success of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  Hit the jump to read more.
