First Official Clip from James Gunn’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Starring Chris Pratt

GOTG Pratt 5Via MTV, Marvel and Disney studios have released the first official clip for writer/director James Gunn‘s highly anticipated addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy.  Starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, aka “Star-Lord,” the clip gives us an extended look at a sequence previously seen in the film’s trailer showing Quill stealing a floating orb.  Following the clip is a short sizzle reel of footage that has also been seen in the trailer – so nothing overly exciting here.  What is exciting though, is that Guardians of the Galaxy‘s release date is inching closer as we are fresh off the heels of The Winter Soldier‘s extremely successful release.  Hit the jump for more. Disney and Marvel Move Edgar Wright’s ANT-MAN up to July 31st, 2015

Ant-ManAt this point, it’s no secret that the 2015 film slate is chock full of highly anticipated blockbuster flicks – many of the superhero genre.  To make the summer more interesting, Disney and Marvel have announced that they plan to move director Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man up nearly four months from its initial November 6th, 2015 release date to July 31st, 2015.  Seeing as Warner Bros. plans to release the highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman film on July 17th, 2015, it would seem as if Marvel feels good enough about Ant-Man to pit the film against the World’s Finest team up.  Hit the jump to read more. The Avengers Sequel Officially Titled THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Age of Ultron Banner - CopySo, there you have it.  It’s no secret that Marvel and Disney have some very long term plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it was only natural to announce the title of the highly anticipated superhero team-up sequel at San Diego Comic-Con.  Director Joss Whedon took the stage in Hall H to wet the appetites of the MCU’s eager fan base.  A trailer comprised of quotes from the first film and the hammering of a metal object glowed red, revealing the helmet of Ultron and the title card: The Avengers: Age of Ultron.  What is even more interesting about this title choice is the fact that Whedon revealed that the film won’t follow the recent Age of Ultron comic storyline, nor will it include Henry Pym (aka Ant-Man).  Hit the jump to read more. First Trailer for THOR: THE DARK WORLD Starring Chris Hemsworth & Natalie Portman

The Dark World Chris Hemsworth 2The first trailer for the second installment in Phase Two of the Marvel cinematic universe has been released online.  Thor: The Dark World pits Thor (Chris Hemsworth) up against a shadowy enemy threatening to destroy Earth and the other Nine Realms.  I enjoyed the first film, but I feel like I wasn’t as overly impressed as some others were.  Cinematically, I think The Dark World looks better than its predecessor.  If you were a fan of the first film, you’ll really love this trailer.  Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) introduction is also a very nice touch adding a bit of information on where we will see the God of Mischief in this post-Avengers film.  Hit the jump to take a look. IMAX Poster for IRON MAN 3 Unveiled

Iron Man 3 RDJ 4 - CopyIMAX and Disney have come together to release the latest poster for Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick, Iron Man 3.  The poster is just the latest in IMAX’s “12:01” series, wherein fans who attend the midnight premier of the film will receive a free copy of the print.  The poster, designed by artist Jock – who also designed the Mondo print for The Dark Knight Rises – is very cool and much more impressive than the underwhelming IMAX poster previously released for the film.  Unfortunately, this IM3 print will be the last installment of the IMAX “12:01” series, which is disappointing.  Hit the jump to take a look! First Poster for THOR: THE DARK WORLD Starring Chris Hemsworth & Natalie Portman – Plus New Images

The Dark World Banner - CopyThe first poster for the second installment of Marvel’s Phase Two initiative, Thor: The Dark World, has been released online.  The poster has been released along with two new images from the film featuring star Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.  The Dark World pits the Mighty Avenger up against an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand as our hero tries to save Earth and the other Nine Realms from their imminent doom.  The poster, showing Thor surrounded by rain and lightning as he wields his mighty hammer, is pretty badass.  The images are rather underwhelming, but it’s a good setup for the trailer that is supposed to be released some time this week.  Hit the jump to take a look!  Read the rest of this entry

IRON MAN 3 Posters get the Lego Treatment – Plus New TV Spot

Iron Man 3 LegoTwo brand new (sort of) posters have been released for Marvel’s upcoming super sequel, Iron Man 3.  The two posters have been released before with real characters occupying them, but this time there’s an interesting twist.  The posters go in line with the Lego Marvel Superheroes sets that are in stores now, and this is a fun way to market both the film and the toys.  With the film’s release right around the corner, keep an eye out for more Iron Man 3 information to surface.  But if you’re like me, you’ll want to stay away from any spoilers.  Also, a new TV spot has been released focusing on The Mandarin’s Extremis soldiers.  Hit the jump to check them out! Finding Nemo Sequel Titled FINDING DORY – to be Released November 25th, 2015

Finding Dory Banner - CopyNow I know that many of you adore Finding Nemo, and many people, including myself, questioned why Disney-Pixar would try and move forward with a sequel.  That idea is now a reality, and it has a release and an official title.  Disney-Pixar has announced that a sequel to the Academy-Award-winning Finding Nemo, titled Finding Dory, will be released on November 25th, 2015.  It’s hard to believe that it has almost been 10 years since the original graced the big screen, and Disney-Pixar are hard at work to bring fans the sequel in 2015.  As expected, Ellen DeGeneres will be back to voice the forgetful fish.  Hit the jump to read more.
