New Trailer for ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES Starring Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, & Steve Carell – Plus New Poster

Anchorman 2 CastThe long and tireless wait is finally over.  A brand new full-length trailer for Paramount and director Adam McKay‘s much anticipated Anchorman follow-up has been released online.  Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues sees the return of the much beloved – and certainly unconventional – news team who leave San Diego and the 70’s behind them to take on New York City and a new 24-hours news network.  While Ron and Veronica are married, Ron seems to be getting comfortable with another woman.  The trailer features some silly laughs, and it looks like much has changed with the characters since the last go around.  We get our first look at Kristen-Wiig, the return of Baxter, and some serious racial tension.  Unfortunately, we’re still waiting for our first official looks at rappers Kanye West and Drake, both of whom make cameos in the film.  Along with the new trailer is a brand new poster that’s kind of a big deal.  You stay classy and hit the jump to check it out.  Read the rest of this entry

Sony Announces THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 and 4 for 2016 and 2018

The Amazing Spider-Man Andrew Garfield - CopySo the trend of superhero films keeps on coming.  In the wake of Warner Bros.’ release of Man of Steel – and hopefully the beginning of a shared cinematic universe – over the weekend, Sony and Marvel have announced the continuation of their Spider-Man franchise.  Sony Pictures has announced that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters on June 10th, 2016 and May 4th, 2018.  The news that the franchise will expand beyond a trilogy – which seems to be the norm for large superhero franchises – is a welcome surprise for fans who enjoyed director Marc Webb’s adaptation last summer.  Hit the jump to read more. First Red Band Clip from Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s DON JON Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, & Tony Danza

Don Jon JGL Danza - CopyThe first red band clip for star Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s directorial debut, Don Jon, has been released online – and appropriately wishes us a Happy Father’s Day.  Formerly titled Don Jon’s Addiction, Don Jon saw extremely positive reactions and reviews from its premier at Sundance back in January.  Gordon-Levitt wrote, directed, and stars in the dramedy as Joseph Martello – a porn-addicted Jersey Shore type guido who tries to reform himself upon meeting Barbara Sugarman (Scarlett Johansson).  The clip provides some good laughs as it shows us the first time Joe brings Barbara home to meet the parents.  How about those accents?  And could there be a more appropriate song for this than Marky Marks Good Vibrations?  I don’t think so.  Hit the jump to take a look! New Clip From WORLD WAR Z Starring Brad Pitt

World War Z ZombiesA brand new extended clip from director Marc Forster‘s upcoming zombie epic, World War Z, has been released online.   The film’s story revolves around Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), a United Nations employee attempting to find out how to stop the zombie pandemic that is threatening to put an end to humanity.  The clip shows us a scene previously shown in many of the film’s trailers wherein Lane and his family are escaping a building to a helicopter.  Early screenings have seen surprisingly positive reactions considering the film’s many speedbumps during production.  Are you ready?  Hit the jump to check it out. New Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s ONLY GOD FORGIVES Starring Ryan Gosling

Only God Forgives Ryan Gosling 2A brand new trailer for director Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Only God Forgives has been released online.  The film was met with some mixed reviews at the Cannes Film Festival a month ago, but hopefully some changes have been made to help the film play a little better.  Gosling stars as Julian, a man living in exile in Bangkok after killing a cop.  Julian runs a Thai boxing club as a front for a drug smuggling operation when things take a turn for the worse after his brother is murdered, and his mother instructs him to “raise hell“.  The film looks much more stylized than Gosling and Refn’s Drive, but it looks every bit as bad ass.  The trailer highlights much of the revenge storyline and Cliff Martinez’s score.  Hit the jump to take a look! First Trailer for Martin Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET Starring Leonardo DiCaprio

The Wolf of Wall Street Leonardo DiCaprio - CopySo greed is good again, huh?  The first trailer for Paramount Pictures Martin Scorsese directed The Wolf of Wall Street has been released online.  The film, based on the memoir of Jordan Belfort (who was convicted of crimes related to stock market manipulation), stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the young stockbroker indicted in 1998 to spend 22 months in jail after charges of money laundering and security fraud.  The trailer, appropriately played under Kanye West’s Black Skinhead off his Yeezus album, unexpectedly highlights much of the film’s lightheartedness and all-star cast- and some surprising dance moves provided by Leo.  The Wolf of Wall Street will be hitting theaters just in time to kick off the awards season, so hit the jump to check out the trailer! Man of Steel

Superman – the superhero of all superheroes.  It’s said that the symbol of hope on his chest is the second most recognizable symbol in the world after the Christian cross.  This is a character that is so beloved, a man was literally brought to tears at the microphone during the Q&A after seeing the first footage for Man of Steel at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.  But who is Superman?  Is he an alien from the far reaches of the universe?  Or is he the adopted son of Kansas farmers?  He is us – a manifestation of our hopes, our dreams, and our humanity brought to life through the golden-age splash pages of comic books.  Read the rest of this entry
