Seeing that this is my 100th post, I figured I’d make it something cool. 11 new images for the Ryan Gosling led dramatic thriller, The Place Beyond the Pines, have been released today via Entertainment Weekly. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival back in September, and I have been trying to wait patiently for my opportunity to see it next month. So far, the film has been met with very positive reviews and is promising to be one of the top films of 2013. The film centers around a stunt motorcycle driver named Luke (Ryan Gosling) who turns to bank robberies to support his young son. Hit the jump to check out the images! Read the rest of this entry
Not very much has been known about Fast & Furious 6 yet, other than a few images released here and there. What we do have today is the first synopsis for the film. At the conclusion of Fast Five we were left to believe that Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) was still alive, and it looks like Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is hunting down a group of mercenaries being aided by Letty. Looks like we’ll be seeing Hobbs and Dom (Vin Diesel) team up to help bring the mercenaries down. Hit the jump to read the full synopsis – and also keep an eye out for the TV spot during the Super Bowl this sunday. Read the rest of this entry
Don’t feel like waiting until Sunday’s big game to see some of the big blockbuster TV spots? Well, Paramount has released the spot for their Brad Pitt led zombie flick, World War Z. Director Marc Forster will attempt to bring Max Brooks’ novel to the big screen with a production that has seen many bumps in the road on the way to theaters. This spot is chock-full of zombie madness, and I’m really hoping that this turns out to be a good one. The spot runs for 33 seconds and doesn’t feature much new footage, but it’s definitely worth a watch! Hit the jump to check it out. Read the rest of this entry
Two brand new stills from Edgar Wright’s conclusion to the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (otherwise known as the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy), The World’s End, have been released today thanks to Empire Magazine. The Blood and Ice Cream trilogy began with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, the film centers around five childhood friend’s going on a pub crawl. If you take note of the picture above, every name is the name of a pub. The goal is to reach all the way to The World’s End, but the five friends realize that there are bigger events that are about to take place. Hit the jump to read more and check out the images. Yesterday, Disney released the animated short film that many movie-goers saw in front of Wreck-It Ralph this past fall. Paperman, directed by John Kahrs, is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short. It’s absolutely fantastic, and it may have even been better than Wreck-It Ralph in its entirety. The story follows a young man who meets a girl at a train station, and after watching her leave on another train he gets a second chance to grab her attention. If you do anything today, I suggest taking 6 minutes to watch this! Hit the jump to check it out! Read the rest of this entry
Now I’ll have to admit, I had no plans to see Warm Bodies in theaters. I’m not even sure if I was going to watch it on DVD. But last Thursday night an email came across my phone with passes to attend a screening, and I figured, why not? Read the rest of this entry
At some point during this weekend’s big game, Disney will be airing two TV spots for the upcoming Marvel flick, Iron Man 3. It has been a long time coming, but according to Deadline, it looks like the folks over at Warner Bros. are giving the green light to the film adaptation of the acclaimed HBO Series, Entourage. This news comes to the relief of many fans of the series, including myself, who thought they would never be able to see the comical quintuple on the big screen. There aren’t many details yet, but creator Doug Ellin and executive producer Mark Wahlberg have been teasing fans with the possibility of a feature film for a few years now, and it finally looks like it will become a reality. Marvel’s The Avengers may have been a billion dollar entity at the box office, but Warner Bros. and DC aren’t so quick to greenlight the live-action Justice League film. It was confirmed three days ago which members would make up the core of the Justice League in the film, but it looks like WB is waiting to see how Man of Steel fares at the box office before they begin production on the 2015 superhero team-up. In an article by Dave McNary over at Variety, WB President Jeff Robinov confirms this notion. Hit the jump to read more.
