Before you kick your feet up and check out the Academy Awards tonight, take some time to check out this brand new and outrageously fun red band trailer for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers. The film centers upon four college girls who rob a restaurant to acquire enough money to go on spring break. It’s on spring break that they meet the eccentric drug dealer, Alien (James Franco). The film has been met with many positive reviews since it’s premier at TIFF back in September 2012, and we’re only about 3 weeks away from the film’s general release. Bikinis and big booties, y’all. That’s what life is about! Check out the trailer in all of its uncensored glory after the jump. Read the rest of this entry
We’re just two short weeks away from the release of Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful. And with that, we are treated to two new clips from the film. The first clip involves a heated exchange between Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Theodora (Mila Kunis) regarding whether or not Oscar (James Franco) “is the wizard.” The second clip showcases the landscape of the world Raimi has brought to life as we see Oscar and Glinda (Michelle Williams) travel through the landscape by bubble. The first featurette for Disney’s Wizard of Oz prequel Oz The Great and Powerful has been released. The featurette shows a great deal of new footage and focuses on the world of Oz while giving an in-depth look at the production design, costumes, and makeup that will be seen on screen. Also featured are interviews with director Sam Raimi and stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, and Zach Braff. “Viewers will experience a fantastical world, and a great story,” Franco said. Oz The Great and Powerful certainly looks like a massive production, and I can’t wait to see how the final product turns out. It looks like there are some surprises waiting for us down the yellow brick road. Hit the jump to take a look. Read the rest of this entry
Five New International Posters for SPRING BREAKERS Starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine
As we get closer to the March 6th international release date (March 22nd in the U.S.) of Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, more goodies from the film are surfacing. We were treated to a brand new international red band trailer just a few days ago, and today we are given five brand new French posters for the film. Spring Breakers has been met with fairly positive reviews from its premier at TIFF back in September, and I, for one, can’t begin to explain how excited I am to see James Franco with cornrows and Paul Wall style grills. Hit the jump to check out the new character posters! Read the rest of this entry
A brand new trailer for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers has gone online. This international trailer is of the red band variety and features vulgar language and nudity, all while capturing the overall craziness of the movie. There is a lot of footage previously seen in the domestic trailer released a few weeks ago, but there is plenty of fun new footage to be seen in this one. I for one am very much looking forward to seeing this, as it has seen many positive reviews since premiering at TIFF back in September. Hit the jump to check out the trailer! Today, via MTV, the first trailer for director Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers was released. There has been a good amount of discussion when it comes to this movie – the film premiered back in September at the Toronto International Film Festival – but so far it has been received with some praise. Matt Goldberg of Collider.com described the film as “wild, agressive, mildly disturbing, darkly comic, and surprisingly thoughtful.” The film features a very interesting cast, and centers on a group of young girls who are willing to do anything to have some fun on spring break – where things become even stranger when they eventually meet a drug dealer named Alien (James Franco). I’m definitely looking forward to the film, and the trailer really does look awesome. Spring break forever, bitches. Hit the jump to check out the trailer.
A new full length trailer for director Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful has been released today via iTunes Movie Trailers. After the release of several new images over the last few days (which you can see here and here), the new trailer comes as no surprise. The trailer features a bevy of new footage and delves a little deeper into the plot of the film than the teaser trailer did. Being from the producers of Alice in Wonderland, the special effects of the film look more in line with that than with Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy. Hit the jump to check out the new trailer. Yesterday, I posted six new images for Oz: The Great and Powerful via USA Today. Today, Yahoo! Movies released a brand new triptych poster (pictured above) for the film. A “triptych” is a work of art divided into three sections, the three sections making up the poster above were released separately about a month ago. Once again, the poster showcases the giant scope of Raimi’s Oz. With the bevy of recent images released by Disney, hopefully a new trailer isn’t too far away. Hit the jump to see the images. Earlier this morning, Disney released six new stills from director Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful via USA Today. The film is set to be a prequel to the classic The Wizard of Oz, and with only a teaser poster and one trailer being released so far, these new images give us a good look at the scope of the film. Oz is focused on the character Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a struggling magician working in Kansas who is thrown in the middle of an ongoing battle after being transported to Oz. Some images feature characters in action, while two images showcase the massive landscapes seen in the film. Hit the jump to see the full images.
