Yesterday, the good folks over at Fandango gave us an exclusive look at the official IMAX poster for Sony and director Marc Webb‘s upcoming web-slinging sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. As a part of the IMAX FANFIX program, fans attending the first IMAX showings of TASM2 at 7pm on May 1st will receive a limited edition print by artist Matt Taylor. The print is a collaboration between IMAX, Sony, Marvel, and Mondo, and it’s simply fantastic. I will for sure be attempting to get my hands on one of these. Hit the jump to check it out! IMAX and Disney have come together to release the latest poster for Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick, Iron Man 3. The poster is just the latest in IMAX’s “12:01” series, wherein fans who attend the midnight premier of the film will receive a free copy of the print. The poster, designed by artist Jock – who also designed the Mondo print for The Dark Knight Rises – is very cool and much more impressive than the underwhelming IMAX poster previously released for the film. Unfortunately, this IM3 print will be the last installment of the IMAX “12:01” series, which is disappointing. Hit the jump to take a look! Read the rest of this entry
It has been a trend over the last year or so to release a unique IMAX poster for films that are seeing an IMAX release. IMAX has released their print for the upcoming super sequel, and it’s basically the latest Iron Man 3 poster mixed with all of the other character posters previously released. Other films that have offered an IMAX print have made sure that the poster is unique and unlike any of the other posters for the film, but this print for IM3 is less than impressive. I’m extremely excited for the film after the latest trailer, and we’re a little over a month away from its release. Hit the jump to take a look. Read the rest of this entry
First Trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness – Plus Full List of Theaters Playing 9-Minute IMAX Preview
As promised, the first trailer for J.J.Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness has hit the web. The trailer is very dark, with dramatic shot after dramatic shot. Benedict Cumberbatch’s character narrates the trailer and dominates most of the footage. It looks like there will be plenty of death and destruction throughout the film, and it also looks like the Starship Enterprise is in trouble. Another full length trailer will premier next week with showings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Also, IMAX has provided us with a full list of theaters movie-goers can see the 9-minute preview for Star Trek. Hit the jump to check out the trailer and the list! Read the rest of this entry
