Two New Promo Posters from Spike Lee’s OLDBOY Remake Starring Josh Brolin
Two new promotional posters for director Spike Lee‘s re-adaptation of South-Korean thriller Oldboy have made their way online via the film’s Facebook page this morning. Both of the poster’s sarcastically highlight the amenities of the room that Joe Doucett (Josh Brolin) had lived in for 20 years under solitary confinement. The film centers upon the vengeful mission one man sets out on after his unexpected and inexplicable release from being kidnapped and held in solitary confinement. Spike Lee’s reimagining of the film is sure to have plenty of callbacks to its highly praised original, and judging by the film’s red-band trailer (featured below), there will be no shortage of blood. Hit the jump to check out the posters and the film’s trailer.
Spike Lee‘s Oldboy stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Lance Reddick, James Ransone, and Michael Imperioli and hits theaters on Nevember 27th, 2013.
OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
