First Clip from MAN OF STEEL Featuring Amy Adams & Laurence Fishburne

Man of Steel Adams Fishburne - CopyWhile making an appearance on Ellen today, star Amy Adams released the first clip of Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder‘s upcoming superhero epic, Man of Steel.  The clip runs roughly 40 seconds and features a conversation between Lois Lane (Adams) and Daily Planet editor Perry White (Laurence Fishburne).  The conversation results in Lane being asked to go on a leave of absence from the periodical after pursuing a story she was instructed not to.  The marketing campaign for Man of Steel is undoubtedly in full swing, so keep an eye out for more exciting information!  Hit the jump to check out the clip.

Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Antje Traue, and Laurence Fishburne and hits theaters next summer in IMAX 3D on June 14th, 2013.

Synopsis:

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.
