First Trailer for Edgar Wright’s THE WORLD’S END Starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost – Plus New UK Poster

The World's End Cast - CopyThe first trailer for director Edgar Wright‘s conclusion to the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (otherwise known as the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy), The World’s Endhas been released online.  The Blood and Ice Cream trilogy began with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.  The World’s End centers on five childhood friend’s going on an epic pub crawl.  The goal is to reach all the way to The World’s End, but the five friends realize that there are bigger events that are taking place.  The trailer reveals a little bit more about the plot than we have seen with previous information released about the film, and it really does look great.  The trailer provides plenty of laughs, and Simon Pegg‘s character looks great.  Along with the trailer is a brand new UK poster for the film.  Hit the jump to take a look.

Edgar Wright’s The World’s End stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Eddie Marsan, Martin Freeman, and Rosamund Pike and will hit theaters in the U.K. on August 14th, 2013 and will make its way to the U.S. on October 25th, 2013.

Synopsis:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
