First Official Images of Jamie Foxx & Dane DeHaan from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2
Director Marc Webb has been hard at work on production of the much anticipated sequel to his Spidey reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Webb has been very active on social media when it comes to keeping fans up to speed on the shoot. We’ve seen a flurry of amateur set photos – including a look at Jamie Foxx‘s villain, Electro. Webb and star Dane DeHaan took to twitter the other day to give us the first official looks at Max Dillion (Fox) and Harry Osborne (DeHaan). The image of Dillon is before his physical transformation into the luminous villain – a look that is drastically different from the comic iteration of the character. Hit the jump to take a look.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, and Martin Sheen and hits theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.
On paper, the film has an all-star cast full of Oscar-winners and up-and-coming talents. Foxx will star as the film’s main villain, Electro, and he has been very vocal about his character’s background – in which he revealed that Dillon has some sort of obsession with Peter Parker’s Spider-Man. Dane DeHaan, fresh off of a wonderful performance in The Place Beyond the Pines, joins the already impressive young talents of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the film.
Director Marc Webb took to twitter to give fans a daily update on production:
Day 52. My name is Max.
Dane DeHaan gave fans the first look at Harry Osborne:
Ladies & Gentleman, FanBoys & FanGirls of all ages: I give you The
#Amazing Harry Osborn.
In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
