New Viral Video for MAN OF STEEL Contains a Warning from General Zod

Man of Steel EW 2 - CopyA brand new viral video for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has been released online today.  With the film’s release just under two months away, Warner Bros. has been turning up the heat on the marketing campaign for the much anticipated Superman flick.  The newest viral campaign features Michael Shannon‘s General Zod issuing a warning to Kal-El.  The clip actually served as a TV spot during tonight’s MTV Movie Awards, which was pretty damn cool.  This is the first time we’ve had the opportunity to hear Zod’s voice, and Shannon should be menacing as the film’s main villain.  Hit the jump to check out the video.

Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, and Diane Lane and hits theaters next summer in IMAX 3D on June 14th, 2013.

You are not alone.

Synopsis:

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.
