First Trailer for WHITE HOUSE DOWN Starring Channing Tatum & Jamie Foxx – Plus New Posters
The first trailer for director Roland Emmerich’s White House Down has been released online today. A lot of questions have been raised over the last couple of months because of White House Down and Olympus has Fallen being released this year. While both movies have basically the same plot, the first trailer is rather impressive. The trailer starts out with grainy footage from news outlets before it progresses until a more clear cinematic picture. The first half focuses on an attack on Washington, DC before it introduces us to lead actors Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. It also suggests that the attack on DC will come from within rather than a foreign source, so it’ll be interesting to see how this differs from Olympus has Fallen. Along with the new trailer are a couple of new posters for the film. Hit the jump to take a look.
White House Down stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, and Joey King and hits theaters this summer on June 28th, 2013.
Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
