New Trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s AFTER EARTH Starring Will & Jaden Smith

Night Shyamalan’s upcoming futuristic sci-fi adventure After Earth has been released online today.  Yesterday we saw two new images announcing today’s trailer, and a brand new poster for the film.  The film centers on a father and son whose crash landing on Earth – 1,000 years after humanity was forced to evacuate – has left them stranded and vulnerable.  Kitai (Jaden Smith) is then forced to embark on a dangerous journey of survival to save his father, Cypher (Will Smith).  The new trailer boasts a great deal of new footage and beautiful visuals.  Hit the jump to take a look.

After Earth stars real life father and son Will Smith and Jaden Smith while also starring Isabelle Fuhrman,  and Zoe Kravitz and hits theaters on June 7th, 2013.

Synopsis:

A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.
