The Final Five Members of the JUSTICE LEAGUE
Slowly, but surely, details on the Justice League film are unraveling. The hottest rumor going around the web was whether or not The Dark Knight Rises’ star Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be the next Batman in the film – which has basically been debunked. Now, thanks to the folks over at Latino Review, it looks like we have narrowed down the heroes that will make up the core of the Justice League in the 2015 film. It also looks like Latino Review has been able to pinpoint what superhero cameos we may see. Hit the jump to check out which crime-fighters we’ll see on the big screen.
According to sources, the Justice League film will consists of five core members:
Batman – Superman – Green Lantern – Wonder Woman – The Flash
This news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, considering these are arguably the five most popular members of the DC universe. Latino Review also reports that there may be a cameo or two coming off of the Justice League bench:
With Darkseid being the most probable villain in the film, Martian Manhunter seems to be the most likely to appear in a cameo. The JL will need an other-worldly presence to help take down Darkseid. Latino Review lists Aquaman as the second most likely to appear – finding it hard to weave an ocean element into the plot and that water is always expensive to shoot. Last, but not least, a Hawkman cameo is not out of the question, but is certainly a long shot.
With five core members, I’m sure the film will be quite extensive. It will be tough to introduce and build character arcs in the plot, so expect the film to be approaching three hours long. So five core members and one or two cameos seems manageable.
Still no director or casting choices so far – it’s assumed Henry Cavill will play Superman – so stay tuned for more news and we’ll see what kind of tricks Warner Bros. has up their sleeves.
