2013 Golden Globe Nominations Announced – LINCOLN Leads way with Seven Nominations

Golden Globes LogoThe nominations for the 2013 Golden Globes were announced earlier this morning.  The Hollywood Foreign Press Association issues the nominations for the Golden Globes, and there weren’t many surprises.  Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln stands at the head of the pack with seven nominations, while Ben Affleck’s Argo and Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained come in just behind Lincoln with five nominations each.  Other movies that have been praised by critics thus far like Zero Dark Thirty and Silver Linings Playbook received their due as well.  The biggest surprise was probably Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, with nominations in Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Motion Picture for the Comedy/Musical category.  Hit the jump for a full list of nominations.

The 70th Annual Golden Globes will be presented on January 13 live on NBC.  The show will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, both of whom were nominated in the best comedy actress category for 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation.
