New Trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE Starring Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson

The second theatrical trailer for director Francis Lawrence‘s upcoming sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, has officially landed online.  While I am a firm believer that the first film wouldn’t have been anything more than average without star Jennifer Lawrence, the second trailer is extremely impressive, and so is the film’s top rate casting.  Much like the film’s teaser trailer, the second trailer highlights the hope that Katniss has spread throughout the districts of Panem.  The second installment pits Katniss against past winners of the famed Hunger Games in a competition that could change Panem forever.  I am very much looking forward to the sequel as the first film satisfied, but certainly left room for improvement – and who doesn’t love them some Jennifer Lawrence?  Hit the jump to take a look.

The first trailer for director Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiered just moments ago at the MTV Movie Awards and has now been released online.  Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) has spread hope throughout the districts of Panam with her victory, and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) is looking to put an end to her inspiration.  The trailer puts much focus on the first half of the film, while introducing us to the storyline of the “Quarter Quell,” a special Hunger Games that pits past winners against each other in a fight to the death.  I’m really looking forward to the sequel, as I thought that without Jennifer Lawrence, the first film would’ve been nothing better than average.  From the looks of the first trailer, this one won’t disappoint.  Hit the jump to take a look.

Two New Images from THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

Two new images for the much anticipated Hunger Games sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, have been released online today.  While the first trailer for the film is set to debut at tonight’s MTV Movie Awards, these new images should be enough to wet the appetite of fans looking forward to the next installment in the franchise.  The new images give us new looks at many of the film’s returning stars, while also giving us a look at Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s Plutarch Heavensbee.  Hit the jump to take a look!
